Using Creativity to Calm Anxiety

This is an ongoing group for adults to help assess, manage, and tame anxiety. If you are someone who is regularly feeling anxious, overwhelmed or nervous, this group is for you. 

We will focus each session on developing practices to slow down, notice our physical, mental, and emotional experience of anxiety and then develop and train ourselves in ways to calm and soothe our anxious responses. 

This includes:

-mindfulness practice

-invoking self care with the 5 senses

-creative imagery to calm the brain and body

-creating "mind maps" to help find our way out of the anxiety maze that we often find ourselves in

-physical methods to self soothe anywhere or anytime

-developing mindful self compassion to help with the self criticism that often accompanies anxious thoughts

This group is currently forming to run every Tuesday from 10:00am- 11:30pm

All materials will be provided, and absolutely no creative experience necessary

The group is offered as a weekly 90 minute session for $65/week. Minimum 6 week commitment.
